Since 2014, thanks to funding from the Fondation de France, AYITIKA has initiated research work on the level of Haitian cocoa orchards. Since then, these actions have been intensified. Currently, as part of a partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and with funding from Korea through the project KOLFACI  ; A cooperation initiative between Korea and the countries of Latin America and the Caribbean, the company is continuing research on cocoa varieties in the Southern region of Haiti.


This activity is carried out in collaboration with the Center for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development (CIRAD) of France. Cocoa trees of interest already identified and identified in the communes of Torbeck, Camperrin and Saint Louis are being multiplied at the level of the commercial farm of the company. Research should extend to other municipalities in the department.
